NYSGrid members operate some of the most powerful supercomputing systems in the world. Access to these systems is governed by allocations policies at the individual sites. High performance computing systems include:

• New York Blue, a massively parallel  IBM Blue Gene system operated by Brookhaven National Laboratory in partnership with Stony Brook University
• A massively parallel IBM Blue Gene system at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as part of its Computational Center for Nanotechnology Innovations
• The Max supercomputer at New York University
• High Performance Computing Clusters at the Center for Computational Research at the University at Buffalo
• High Performance Computing Clusters at the Cornell Center for Advanced Computing
