| Upcoming Workshop December 4-5, 2007 | NYSGrid CI Days will be held in Albany, NY, running from noon to noon, December 4-5, 2007. The goal of this workshop is to create a dialogue among cyberinfrastructure providers, NYS cyberinfrastructure users and potential users, and NYS CI technical supporters to extend knowledge of resources and opportunities and to identify challenges that need to be addressed. The workshop begins at 11:30 on Dec. 4 and will be held in the Life Sciences Research Conference Room 1143 at the University at Albany. |

| Sept 21-22, 2006 | NYS Workshop on Data-Driven Science and Cyberinfrastructure was held in Troy, NY and hosted by RPI. The focus of this workshop was to develop a vision and viable strategy for maximizing cyberinfrastructure in New York State. The Governing Board (now Steering Committee) was elected at this meeting. |
| July 11-12, 2006 | Cornell University convened a New York State Workshop on Data-Driven Science and Cyberinfrastructure. The workshop was held in Ithaca, New York, and focused on understanding cyberinfrastructure efforts and data-driven requirements throughout the state in support of 21st century discovery. In addition to sharing information with colleagues, it was the goal of this workshop to determine whether or not a viable statewide initiative in this area would benefit a wide array of organizations throughout the state. NYSGrid was born out of this workshop. |
