NYSGrid members are New York non-profit institutions that are interested in strengthening the research, education,and technology environment of New York State by - collaborating to help build New York's cyberinfrastructure,
- working with researchers to grid-enable their applications to take advantage of NYS cyberinfrastructure,
- sharing computational, data, storage, and visualization resources,
- engaging in cyberinfrastructure knowledge and technology exchange, and
- engaging in education and outreach to new communities.
All NYSGrid members have support from senior administrators at their institutions, e.g., the President, Vice Provost for Research, or CIO, for their involvement in the consortium. If you are interested in joining NYSGrid, please submit a letter of interest to Chris Haile, NYSGrid Chair, including the following information: - Why your institution would like to join NYSGrid
- What resources and/or expertise you bring to the collaboration
- Existing collaborations with NYSGrid members, if any
- Letter of support from your institution's senior administration
- Name of a senior person to serve on the NYSGrid Council and act as liaison to your institution
- Name of a technical point of contact
